Product Questions

New collections

Little Dutch introduces a new textile collection once or twice a year. Launches of new products by licensing partners should be handled by our licensing partners.

Are your products safe for my child?

All materials that Little Dutch uses for its wooden toys comply with the latest European REACH Regulation concerning chemical substances. The products have been tested according to the latest European Directives EN 71 parts 1-3. Please be aware that wooden toy parts are not meant to be chewed on. Try to avoid small children putting toys into their mouths and biting on the products.

Our textile products have the Oeko-Tex® label. This international certification system for textile products garantees that fabrics are free from harmful substances.

The checks for harmful substances carried out by Oeko-Tex® are aimed at the use of fabrics and other materials. As our sheets, blankets and sleeping bags come into direct contact with the skin, more stringent rules apply for anti-allergic properties. Our products comply with these strict rules, so you can tuck you child in under our bed linnen without having to worry about their safety.

Defective products

Please send our Sales Support department an e-mail with the order number, description and photo of the defect. Our Sales Support department will process your report as soon as possible.

Warranty

We offer a six-month warranty on product malfunctions. This covers manufacturing and design flaws.

The warranty does not apply to any damage due to wear and tear or usage. Damage caused by accidentally dropping the item or misplacing parts of the product, for example, is not covered by our warranty.

If you want to apply for warranty, please send a message via the contactform or by e-mail to customerservice@littledutch.nl stating your order number, order date, full name, description of the complaint and photos of the defect.

If you didn't buy your product through our webshop, please get in touch with the shop where you purchased the product.

Washing instructrions

Little Dutch textiles will guarantee high-quality products. In order to keep the products in good conditions, we have a few laundry tips:

  • Wash the product separately the first time and select a cold programme.
  • Carefully sort our products and other textile, depending on colour, fabric quality and care label.
  • Use the correct amount of detergent.
  • Anti-crease programmes, for items that contain synthetic fibres and/or that have anti-crease finishing: load the machine with only half of the weight you normally load into it.
  • Select the correct programme and temperature.
  • Once the laundry is done, remove it from the machine as soon as possible. This prevents colour-run.
  • Please keep in mind that if you use a tumble-dryer, the textile should be able to tumble properly. Overloading your machine can lead to excessive creasing.
  • Our products and other textile can best be washed and ironed inside out. This way you will not get faded stripes.

What fabrics and materials are used for the products?

We aim at solely using eco-friendly fabrics as much as we can. Our products are Oeko-Tex® certified. This is one of the world's leading labels for textiles tested for harmful substances.

When a textile article carries the Oeko-Tex® label, you can be certain that every component of this article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessory, has been tested for the absence of harmful substances and that the article therefore is safe for the environment.

We use the following fabrics and materials for our textile products:

  • 100% cotton
  • 100% quilted polyester
  • Fabric strengthened with interfacing
  • Polyester
